Day #2

June 18, 2018

I took a shower this morning in the coded shower room. The little room was great UNTIL the light and fan timer went off (the switch was OUTSIDE).  I had to dress in the HEAT and the DARK and I was sweating more when I came out than when I went it!

We went around Nashville this morning. Saw the city and we're looking forward to our visit there on our way back home.

We went through a little corner of Illinois and we saw a LOT of farmland. Thre as a LOT of corn and some other things I couldn't identify. There were a lot of farm equipment vehicles on the road. After having gone through mountains to get this far, it was funny to see all the FLAT land.

We crossed the Ohio River and the Mississippi River today. The Ohio River went by in a blur but the bridge we crossed the Mississippi with was beautiful. We have fond memories of the "'Ole Mississip" from a visit we made with the kids eons ago on our way to Minnesota.

Tonight we're staying in Cape Camping and RV Park and Campground in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The weather is HOT and extremely HUMID. We got here and hooked up, got the A/C on and took a nap! We only slept a short while and are now scrounging for supper. Looks to be spaghetti for us! Steve checked the weather in Gillette and it's 51 degrees! BRING IT ON!
